Consul General visited Luzhou from 14-16 July 2022, upon the invitation from Sichuan FAO to participate in the 17th China International Alcoholic Drinks Expo (CIADE) 2022. The major purpose of the visit on behalf of the Consulate General was to explore the opportunities for Nepal in the sector of Trade, Tourism, Investment, Traditional medicine and alcohol branding and marketing.
Upon arrival, Consul General met with Mr. Yu Xianhe, Deputy Secretary of CPC Luzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. He Hongbo, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Luzhou Municipal Committee, Executive Deputy Mayor, Mr. Li Tangbing, Member of the Standing Committee of Luzhou and Mr. Liu Yu, Director of Luzhou Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation and Foreign Affairs.During the meeting Mr. Yu gave brief information on trade, economy, and tourism along with the introduction on Luzhou group and its contribution in GDP. He also highlighted relation between Nepal and Luzhou. Mr. Consul General thanked Mr. Yu, for the invitation and warm hospitality in Luzhou. He also expressed need to further strengthen relationship in the areas of trade economics, education, health, and tourism.
On 15 July 2022, Consul General participated in the opening ceremony of 17th China International Alcoholic Drinks (CIADE) Expo 2022 and visited Southwest Medical University as well as the TCM Hospital in Luzhou. Consul General was accompanied by Vice Consul Mr. Chhaman Singh Budhathoki during his Luzhou visit.
